You have to be really careful about intepreting charts like the one below. If inventory was abnormally and extremely low, seeing an increase in inventory may be just a bump in the right direction. For example, if there was 1 foreclosure in the previous month and there were 2 the next month… that’s a 100% increase. Seems extreme until you realize it went from 1 to 2. 2 foreclosures in a month in a market is not scary even though saying it increased by 100% month over month can sound scary. Keep this in mind as you interpret all charts from all sources (not just this one from this one source).
